This will be a quick pictorial post, and I think you’ll figure out quickly what happened: I went raspberry picking at Rose’s Berry Farm in Glastonbury, CT, and went to it making jam! This was 12 lbs of raspberries.

And I am happy to say they all “thwacked”! I now have 22 half-pints of raspberry jam ready and waiting for the cooler months when fresh fruit is scarce… Of course, quite a few fresh raspberries were eaten during the making

Look at those raspberries – fabulous!! I used to live in Glastonbury, and remember going to Rose’s Berry Farm. Beautiful place!

I’m so jealous! There’s nowhere around here to pick raspberries and they sold out of raspberry canes so I’m going to have to wait until next year to add some to my garden.

Mmmm. Those look yummy. Nothin’ better than home-made jam!

Those look amazing. I love raspberries! My home raspberry bush was over-run by a hyssop plant that went nuts this year. I should’ve cut it back sooner, but sometimes these things just get away from you.
Nice job, hopefully we can go picking in the next few weeks. Inspired by your jam pics, I’m off to make some toast now….

Yummy, the rasberries are just starting here-I better not wait until the very end like I did with the strawberries

You can almost taste the raspberries looking at your pictures! I love raspberry jam–I put it on my yogurt every morning (I call it fruit on the top). A thing of beauty indeed, Mangochild!

My parents came to visit and saw all the jam I’d made and were in shock. The first question was “what on earth will you do with it all?” But with all that delicious flavor – the options are endless…. I remember about your yogurt and jam from the winter, and thought about you when my mother emailed me to report she has been having peaches/peach jam mixed in with a big tub of yogurt for lunch.
